Yes. For ancillary cover it’s just two/six months for most services before any claim can be made, but there are exceptions and these vary depending on the type of ancillary service. For example, major dental work has a 12 month waiting period if a first time insurer or within the 12 month waiting period. Hospital cover has a standard 12 month wait for all preexisting and pregnancy related services for first time insurers or if upgrading cover types. (per fund rules)
